【摘要】:1.1Thisguidecoverstestmethodsandsamplingprocedureoptionsforleave-onproductsforconsumerandhospitalpersonnel.Leave-onproducts,suchasalcoholhandrubsandlotionscontainingantimicrobialingredients,areincreasinglymarketedandusedbyconsumersandhealthcarepersonnel.Theseproductsaredistinguishedfromconventionalwashingandscrubbingpreparationsinthattheydonotrelyontherinsing,physicalremoval,andantimicrobialactionindeterminingtheireffectiveness.Althoughagitationandfrictionmayservetoreleaseorganismsfromtheskinandfoldsandcrevices,organismsarethenkilledinsituandarenotrinsedfromtheskinsurfacebeforesampling.Appropriatetestmethodsforthehandshavebeenpublished,whileothersamplingmethodswillbeneededfortestingbodyareasotherthanthehands.1.2Methodsofrecoveryafterapplicationofthecontaminatingorganismstoapartofthebodyotherthanbytheagitation/rubbingofthehandsagainstaglasspetriplatealsoneedexamination.Considerationshouldbegiventocontactplating,controlledswabbingwithatemplate,andcupscrubbing(detergent/agitationused)sincethetargetorganismsforrecoveryarelikelytobeonthesuperficiallayersofskin.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatoryrequirementspriortouse.
