【摘要】:Flexuralpropertiesdeterminedbythistestmethodareespeciallyusefulforqualitycontrolandspecificationpurposes.Themaximumaxialfiberstressesoccuronalineundertheloadingnose.Theuseofthesemicircularcrosssectioneliminatesprematurecompressionshearthathasbeennotedinthree-pointflexuretestsonfull-roundrods.Flexuralpropertiesmayvarywithspecimendepth,temperature,atmosphericconditions,anddifferencesinrateofstraining.Beforeproceedingwiththistestmethod,referenceshouldbemadetothespecificationofthematerialbeingtested.Anytestspecimenpreparation,conditioning,dimensions,ortestingparameters,orcombinationthereof,coveredinthematerialsspecificationshalltakeprecedenceoverthosementionedinthistestmethod.Iftherearenomaterialspecifications,thenthedefaultconditionsapply.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationoftheflexuralpropertiesoffiber-reinforcedpultrudedplasticrods.Thespecimenisarodwithasemicircularcrosssection,moldedorcutfromlengthsofpultrudedrods(seeFig.1).Thistestmethodisdesignedforrodswithadiameterof1/2in.orgreater.Note18212;ThereisnoknownISOequivalentforthistestmethod.1.2ThevaluesstatedineitherSIunitsorinch-poundunitsaretoberegardedseparatelyasstandard.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemmaynotbeexactequivalents;therefore,eachsystemshallbeusedindependentlyoftheother.Combiningvaluesfromthetwosystemsmayresultinnonconformancewiththestandard.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.FIG.1CrossSectionofTestSpecimen
