【摘要】:1.1Asupralaryngealairwayisadeviceplacedthroughthemouth,intendedtosealthesupralaryngealareatomaintainairwaypatencywithoutpassingthroughthevocalcordstoindependentlyfacilitateventilationwithorwithoutdeliveryofanesthesiagases.Devicesintendedtoprovideabreathingairwayand/ortosimultaneouslyprovideaguidefortheintubationoftrachealtubes,bronchoscopes,andsuctiondevicesarealsoincludedinthescopeofthisstandard,asaretheconnectorsinsertedintothemachineendofthesedevices.1.2Examplesofsupralaryngealairwaydevicesarelaryngealmasks,tubes,airwaysandseals,cuffedoropharyngealairways,andpharyngealairways,andcombinationairway/esophagealobturators.1.3*Thefollowingdevicesareoutsidethescopeofthisstandard:nasalandoropharyngealairways,anestheticmasks,oro-andnaso-trachealtubes,cricothyrotomydevices,dentalappliances,trachealstents,trachealtubes,ventilatinglaryngoscopes,CPAPdevices,esophagealobturators,bougies,anddevicesthatrequiresurgicalplacement.1.4ThisStandardrequiresdimensionaldisclosuresotheoperatorwillknowwhichauxiliaryinstruments,suchastrachealtubesandbronchoscopeswillbesize-compatible.1.5*Basedontheriskassessmentincludedinthisdocument,requirementshavebeenestablishedtomitigateorreducepatientsafetyhazardsidentifiedduringthatprocess.SeeAnnexD.1.6Flammabilityofairways,forexampleifusedwithcertainflammableanesthetics,electrosurgicalunitsorlasers,isawell-recognizedhazardthatisoutsidethescopeofthisStandard.SeeAnnexE.
